Honda Rearview Report: December 5 - December 11, 2015

"This year marks 40 years of Honda R&D in America and it's no coincidence that many of the advanced mobility products we are introducing in this 'Year of Honda' were created through the efforts of our engineering teams in Ohio, California, North Carolina and elsewhere in North America, working as part of a global team.
On a single day this week:
- Our 10th-generation Civic and all-new Pilot, with development centered in Raymond, Ohio, were chosen as finalists for the 2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year.
- Honda Aircraft Company received FAA-type certification for HondaJet, the world's most advanced light jet. Developed in North Carolina, HondaJet is now preparing for the start of customer deliveries.
- Finally, we announced new investment in the Honda Proving Center of California, our testing facility in Mojave, which speaks to how we will continue to grow our North American R&D capabilities for the future.
Each of these products and facilities underscore what a pivotal role our U.S. engineers are playing in imagining and bringing to life new Honda dreams as a core part of a globally integrated product design and development capability. And by demonstrating Honda's passion for creating new value for our customers, they are working to ensure that the 'Year of Honda' won't end at the conclusion of 2015."
