Honda Rearview Report: October 17 - October 23, 2015

"Our dreams for customers of the 2016 Honda Civic came one step closer to reality this week as we celebrated with the manufacturing team as they started production of the Civic Sedan at our Alliston, Ontario, plant, the global lead plant for Civic. It will soon be joined by our Greensburg, Indiana, plant in supplying Civics to Honda customers.

The best part is that this is only the beginning. There will be many more wonderful, new Civic models on the horizon – the Coupe, 5-door hatch, Si variants and Type-R – each adding a slightly different value to what will be the most diverse Civic lineup in our history.

This week's line-off celebration also represents an important milestone in the growth and advancement of Honda's R&D and manufacturing capabilities in North America during the past 40 years – with the leadership for developing and producing the Civic Sedan and Coupe residing right here in North America.

Our team has been humbled by the enthusiastic reception the Civic Sedan has received thus far, and we are very anxious to get it in the hands of our customers – in the weeks ahead. Once we see their smiles, we can be truly satisfied with what we've accomplished."
