Honda Earns WRAP Award for Second Straight Year

The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) has chosen American Honda Motor Co., Inc. as a Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) winner in the category of "Automotive Manufacturing." This is the second consecutive year that Honda has won this award.

According to CIWMB, "through Honda's long standing commitment to the environment and the dedicated efforts of it associates, the company has recycled 497 tons of paper, plastic, glass and cardboard, and 661 tons of wood and metal crates at its headquarters facility in 1999." American Honda's waste reduction/recycling program includes regular donation of surplus and used equipment to nonprofit organizations, and a comprehensive recycling program.
